And so terminal twelvemonth I picked up a 2012 f150, I am the tertiary possessor. The original owner leveled the truck using fob 2.5" coilovers/resi's with camburg upper control arms. The 2nd owner wanted it higher so he added a 6" elevator rough country drop subclass lift on-height of the coilovers and control arms already installed. Having a truck that high has get inconvenient for me (loading motorcycles in the bed and climbing in and out) Has anyone ever looked into removing a lift? I would still want to keep the coilovers and command arms so it seems similar all I would need is the original spindles and the original crossmember?

Thanks for any input!

I bought a truck west/ a 6" RCD lift, it was a 2005 Chevy 2500 HD. I don't know much about lifts and simply causeless I could accept it off not problem...turns out when the truck is that large the weld parts of the lift. Ended up merely driving it lifted as it was too expensive to have removed. hopefully that'southward not the case due west/ your truck

see if you can download rough state instructions to run into what was done to install the kit. if cipher was cutting or welded yous tin can take it off. would probably just need stock spindles.

Most people in orange county already accept a small penis, specially if they accept a lift kit. Bounty.

Shit I'chiliad 6'5" I'm not compensating for anything lol

4wd

Rough country install instructions didn't have anything about welding from what I saw.

So last year I picked upwardly a 2012 f150, I am the 3rd possessor. The original owner leveled the truck using fox 2.5" coilovers/resi'south with camburg upper control arms. The 2d owner wanted it higher and so he added a 6" lift crude country drib bracket lift on-top of the coilovers and command arms already installed. Having a truck that loftier has go inconvenient for me (loading motorcycles in the bed and climbing in and out) Has anyone ever looked into removing a lift? I would even so want to keep the coilovers and control arms then it seems like all I would need is the original spindles and the original crossmember?

Best advice.....sell the truck an buy 1 that'south not lifted if that's what y'all want/need.

Sometimes the "reset" button can exist the best style to go.

My son Bought a used 2022 F-250 CC diesel fuel with 18K miles on it and discovered that it had a chepo lift kit (raised the front end end to level it). It drove poorly, bump steered and road like crap.
He is at present in the process of removing the lift to get it dorsum to stock and restore the stock driving characteristics.

Information technology's easy, drop bracket lifts are worthless. I don't know why people talk shit when they know nada about the subject.

Most lifts on 4wds do not have spindles do to the axles. It should be pretty straight forward to remove and likely blocks in the rear.

Having the parts to take information technology back to stock is normally the hardest part about removing a lift from a truck.

I agree, stone auto has the spindles I need for $86/each but I haven't been able to notice where to purchase the original crossmember. Ideally, I would detect someone that wants the lift and we could piece of work out a trade.

Did you make them buy the lift on elevation of providing labor or did they get a free lift with the only price beingness the labor?

Want to make sure I work out a off-white deal.

I wont accuse that much (a crude country setup is just $900 new I recollect) but probably reasonable to charge $400 and have them provide labor. Thank you!

If y'all going to try and sell it why not simply pay to have it removed by your shop. You know information technology's done correct, and then just sell it for $400 and be recover your labor cost.
